Detail Collet Handle Package

-AH Detail Collet Handle
-AH 10V Vortex Tool (20 degree grind)
-AH 1/4” 10V Detail Spindle Gouge (40 degree grind)
-AH 1/2” Push Cut M2 Bowl Gouge (parabolic flute and 40/40 grind)
The AH Detail Collet Handle makes finial turning so sweet! It is precision machined from aluminum and finished with a soft outer grip. It comes with a 1/2” collet as well as 1/4” and 3/8” collet reducers - unlike other collet handles, you do not need to entirely remove the nut to change tool sizes. The collet reducers can be stored inside the handle while they’re not being used. The collets and collet reducers are made from aluminum so that they are easily tightened by hand. And when you do need to get the collet extra tight, the AH Angle Wrench can do the job. At just six inches long, 1 1/4” diameter, and weighing only 7 ounces, it is perfectly suited to fine detail spindle work where the handle needs to easily swing in front of the body. It can also choke up onto a tool, allowing the turner to be even closer to fine detail work.
This is the handle I have been dreaming of while I have been turning thousands of finials over the years. I have designed it to be the easiest, most comfortable, and easy tool change handle for detailed spindle work. I recommend the AH 1/4” 10V detail spindle gouge, the AH 1/2” Push Cut Bowl Gouge and the AH 10V Vortex tool (unhandled) with this handle. Those are the three tools that I use when turning finials. All of my tool steel is vacuum heat treated, achieving the most consistent hardness through the entire length of the tool.
